Cancellation

Changes

If you want to change any detail of your confirmed booking, we use reasonable endeavours to make the changes. However, we must receive your notice in writing by email. We may agree to accept notice over the telephone, but this should be arranged with us first.

If you wish to change the dates for your booking this can be carried out for an admin fee of £30.00 (payable at the time of amendment), however dates cannot be changed within 6 weeks of your stay. Dates can only be changed to another date within the same year as your original booking, any difference in price you will have to pay the extra.

Bookings cannot be transferred to other people. Only guests listed on the original booking form will be allowed to stay in the caravan.

If you wish to change the lead booking name this can be done for an admin fee of £30. This cannot be changed within 6 weeks of your stay.

Extras – any added extras (i.e. Early check in, pets,) cannot be removed from the booking within the 6 weeks period before your stay.

 

Full cancellations

If you must, or want to, cancel your booking after it has been confirmed, you must email (coralynpickard@aol.com) as soon as possible. The day we receive your notice by email from you to cancel, is the date on which we will cancel your booking. Our confirmation in writing will confirm receipt of your cancellation. If you cancel, you will have to pay a cancellation charge based on the number of days before the arrival date at the property that we receive notice, as shown below. The cancellation charges below have been calculated as a genuine pre estimate of the losses we would incur in the event you cancelled your holiday within the stipulated time period.

Number of days before the start date of your trip that we receive your notice to cancel.

30 days or more before the stay begins 40% refund

15 to 29 days before the stay begins 10% refund

4 to 14 days before the stay begins 5% refund

3 days or less before the stay begins 0% refund

 

Cutting short your stay

No refunds are payable in the event you cut short your stay.

 

Cancellations due to government public health measures

If your booking is cancelled because UK government public health measures mean the caravan park is unable to open, you may choose to:

– transfer your booking to a later date free of any administration charges, subject to availability – you will have to pay any difference in price if the cost of the new booking is higher or be reimbursed the difference if the cost of the new booking is lower.

– obtain a refund of the amount already paid by you for the booking.

 

Cancellations due to illness or bereavement

No refunds or amendments will be given if you must cancel your stay due to any circumstances which may arise. (including the need to self-isolate)

 

 

Cancellations or changes by the owner

The owners and service providers do not expect to have to make any changes to your booking. However, sometimes bookings must be changed. If we do, we will contact you (by phone if reasonably possible in the case of a significant change or by email in the case of a minor change) as soon as is reasonably practical. We will explain what has happened and let you know about the change. However, we will have no further liability to you.

Cancellations by us, the owner or service providers

If we cancel your booking or are prevented from providing the accommodation you have booked, you may obtain a refund of the amount already paid by you for the booking. However, we will have no further liability to you.

All late Payments will incur an additional £30 late payment fee. Late payments will only be granted in the case of at least 50% of the holiday being paid. This must be pre-arranged.

Events Beyond Our Control

Except where otherwise expressly stated in these Booking Conditions we will not be liable or pay you compensation, if our contractual obligations to you are affected by “Events Beyond Our Control”. For the purposes of these Booking Conditions, Events Beyond Our Control means any event beyond our or the Owner’s control, the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Examples include warfare and acts of terrorism (and threat thereof), civil strife, significant risks to human health such as the outbreak of serious disease at the travel destination (including epidemics, pandemics and the ongoing effects of the Covid -19 pandemic) or natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes or weather conditions which prevent you from travelling to the travel destination and/or make it impossible to travel safely to the travel destination or remain at the travel destination, the act of any government or other national or local authority including port or river authorities, industrial dispute, labour strikes, lock closure, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, chemical or biological disaster, unavoidable technical problems with transport and all similar events outside our or the Owner’s control.

As with all holidays we advise that you take out necessary travel insurance to cover any eventualities which may occur. This is your personal responsibility.

Additional Rules Information

Bedding

We do not supply bedding or towels. Our beds have a duvet and a pillow you will need to bring a sheet, Pillowcases cover, and a duvet cover for each bed you are going to use. Sizes required can be provided on booking.

Keys

Keys are held in a key safe attached to the decking. The owner will make available the key safe code by the arrival date along with the pitch number via a text message. Please do not request these earlier as we unable to do so due to changes in key safe code etc.  The hirer is responsible for the safe return of keys to the key safe upon departure.

Lost keys will result in your £50 security bond being held

Behaviour

If, in the opinion of the owner (or representative) or the park manager, any member of the party, is guilty of behaviour prejudicial to the well-being of others, the owner or park manager may re-take possession of the accommodation immediately and without compensation to the hirer. Any threatening behaviour will result in the entire booking party being asked to vacate.

Utilities

All utilities are included. Charges made by the site manager to have the trip switch re-set If there has been excessive use of electricity will be taken from your bond.

We do not allow the charging of electric vehicles from our van. If you are found to be charging a vehicle you will forfeit your bond and will be asked to vacate the caravan.

Liability

We do not accept liability for injury, loss or damage, suffered by any member of the booking party.

Insurance

We advise the hirer to take out holiday insurance where possible.

Wifi

Wifi is available free of charge and the password can be found password is in our booklet

Smoking

All our accommodation is non-smoking, where smoking has taken place security deposits will be retained in full to cover extra cleaning. Smoking is not permitted inside the caravan, caravan doorways or on decked areas. This also includes E cigarettes and vapes

Cars

There is parking for one car at the caravan. If you have a second car, please park in the main carpark. DO Not Park it on the grass or in the parking space opposite the van as they are reserved for the caravans opposite.

Security Deposits

The Caravan Security Bond is required with the final balance; arrival details will not be released without this being paid.

Security deposits are fully refundable to the hirer 7 day’s post departure should the accommodation be left in a clean and tidy manner by the hirer and any damages reported. Our cleaning company attend each changeover following departure so are aware of the condition prior to your arrival. Damages not reported will incur charges being deducted from your security deposit. Payment will be made to accounts registered to the main booking party name and address.

Bins should be emptied, and all rooms clear from rubbish and left in a clean manner as found. Should extra cleaning/ fumigation be required following the hirers departure the security deposit will be retained as is the case for excessive damage and the whole amount invoiced plus any costs incurred for alternative accommodation for consecutive guests.

Please ensure you report any issues before you leave, we will not deal with any complaint if is reported after you leave

Pets

You must tell us if you are bringing a pet when you make your booking. Pets must not be left unattended in accommodation or elsewhere and must be exercised on a lead and in charge of an adult.

DOGS MUST BE KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES.

Animals other than dogs can only be accepted with permission from us first

In the interest of visitors’ safety and the following government legislation we are sorry but we cannot accept the following types of dogs: American Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Fila Brasileiro and Dogo Argentino even if the dogs are muzzled as required by government legislation.
