German Bierfest comes to Bristol – 5, 6, 7 & 8 May 2016
This is the first time a German Beer Festival (Bierfest) will take place in Bristol and it’s something the entire family can enjoy. There is more than beer on offer including authentic German food, wines and traditional German games for the children to play. There will be live music and a specially designed German village is being created to complete the atmosphere. If you have never been to Germany to experience the Bierfest, there is no need to travel there; you’ll find it all in Bristol.
The event begins each day at 12 noon and closes at 11pm.
International Balloon Fiesta – 11, 12, 13 & 14 August 2016
One of the most popular festivals, attracting thousands of visitors every year, is the annual Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, the largest hot-air balloon event in Europe. If you want to participate, you can get a discount if you book early on the Bristol Balloons website.
If you can’t make the event, don’t worry because there are always hot air balloons flying over Bristol and you can take a flight any time of the year, weather permitting.
Bristol Harbour Festival – 15, 16 & 17 July 2016
This event is a positive extravaganza of music, dance and maritime activities. There’s plenty of food and drink, markets to buy almost anything you can think of including souvenirs; children’s games and activities and live entertainment. The festival is free but it is expected that you purchase a £2 programme because by doing so it ensures that it remains free. Considering what is on offer, £2 is a very small contribution. For more information visit the Bristol Harbour Festival website.
For caravan hire, check availability on the Rent My Caravan portal where you will find static caravans to rent in and around Bristol. If you want to be part of the Balloon Fiesta, early booking is advisable.
